William Jacques is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Registered Financial Consultant. He holds a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administrations, with a major in Accounting, from James Madison University. Bill has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1994, was admitted to practice law in Maryland in 1999, and is a member of the Maryland Bar. He is a lifetime Marylander and graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, Maryland.
Bill joined Jacques Financial, LLC (member FINRA/SIPC) in 2006 and opened The Jacques Law Office LLC in 2007. He holds Series 7 - General Securities Representative, Series 24 - General Securities Principal, and Series 27 - Financial & Operations Principal licenses.
As a Certified Public Accountant, Bill provides tax planning and preparation services and represents clients with tax controversy issues at the IRS and state revenue agencies. Through his law office, he offers fundamental estate planning and emerging business services.
Bill's prior legal experience includes general counsel and private law firm work in business and corporate law, securities and blue sky compliance, emerging business and venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. His prior accounting experience includes controller, senior accountant and consultant positions for private sector companies.
